HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) — Traffic is at a standstill on northbound Highway 17 Bypass near the Myrtle Beach airport as crews work to remove pieces of an overhead highway sign after it was reportedly hit by a dump truck, Horry County Fire Rescue said.
Motorists are asked to avoid the area of Highway 17 Bypass near Shetland Lane. A South Carolina Department of Transportation traffic camera shows the traffic backup and multiple emergency vehicles in the area.
No one was hurt in the incident. Horry County Fire Rescue was dispatched at 3:11 p.m.
