SC Superintendent of Education visits Horry Co. Schools; praises career readiness

HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — The South Carolina Superintendent of Education, Ellen Weaver, visited the Myrtle Beach Academy for the Arts, Science, and Technology on Monday.

Weaver said the school exemplifies the state’s push to equip students with future skills for college or the military.

“So, whether it’s college, career, or the military, we want to ensure that every student has the opportunity to pursue the pathway that is best for them. And that means that we have to ensure that we have these really high-quality career readiness and CTE opportunities in every community in our state,” Weaver said…
