Horry County Fire Rescue said winds were pushing smoke from a roughly 200-acre wildfire in Marion County toward the county line, according to WMBF.
The fire was reported on Woodbury Road in Marion County, near the Horry County line, the South Carolina Forestry Commission said. Officials said the wildfire could be seen across the Little Pee Dee River from Horry County’s Punch Bowl Landing.
