Rainy, stormy weather for Myrtle Beach Classic

MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (WBTW) — Temperatures are milder this morning, and humidity is high. Beaches are waking up to temperatures around 70°, while inland areas are starting in the mid to upper 60s. We’ve already seen some rain during the early morning, so roadways are wet for the morning commute. Rain will continue through the morning, with some breaks possible in the afternoon, but don’t expect it to fully wrap up until sunset.

This rain is ahead of an approaching cold front. There is a Level 1 risk of severe weather across the area, including a 5% chance of damaging winds. With scattered showers and thunderstorms in the forecast, I would anticipate some delays for the Myrtle Beach Classic, especially late morning into early afternoon.
