Suspect In Grizzly Murder Took Out Order Of Protection In 2025, “He Lets His Anger Take Over And Is Very Violent”

It was a gruesome murder in Plainfield. Now, 62-year-old Robin Turner and 26-year-old James Adams, are accused of killing 38-year-old Dalewayne Turner, whose tattooed arm was found in Lake Mattoon, in downstate Shelby County.

Earlier this week, WJOL learned that Joliet Police were no strangers to the family home in the 2400 block of Ruth Fitzgerald Drive in Plainfield.

According to JPD spokesperson, Sgt. Dwayne English, “Prior to the homicide, we had responded to the residence three times since 2024. In July 2024, officers provided a standby for Adams to retrieve personal items out of the home while Turner was there.
