Oswego approves $165,000 incentive package for Wholey Granoly restaurant

The Oswego Village Board approved $165,000 in economic development assistance Tuesday for Wholey Granoly, clearing the way for the breakfast and lunch restaurant to move forward with plans to open in the former Dairy Barn building at 121 S. Main St.

The incentive package includes a $40,000 grant, the maximum available under the village program, and a $125,000 loan. The agreement is contingent upon the restaurant securing a signed lease for the downtown property.

Wholey Granoly must open within six months of the board’s approval under the terms of the economic incentive agreement. Owner Chris Ciezak told trustees he hopes the restaurant will begin serving customers much sooner…
