JOLIET, Ill. (WICS/WRSP) — A Will County grand jury has indicted two people on murder and other felony charges in connection with a homicide investigation involving the dismemberment and concealment of a human body.
Court records show James E. Adams and Robin L. Turner were each indicted Wednesday on six felony counts.
The indictments charge both defendants with:
- Two counts of first-degree murder with intent to kill or injure.
- One count of first-degree murder alleging they knew their acts created a strong probability of death or great bodily harm.
- One count of dismembering a human body, a Class X felony.
- Two counts of concealment of a homicidal death, Class 3 felonies.
During Adams’ arraignment Wednesday, prosecutors filed the six-count indictment, replacing the original criminal complaint. Adams pleaded not guilty through his attorneys and was remanded to the custody of the Will County Sheriff’s Office.
