The Board of Managers of the River Forest Civic Center Authority voted unanimously Aug. 4 to dissolve the entity and turn over the aging River Forest Civic Center building, 8020 Madison St., to the Village of River Forest effective Sept. 29. River Forest’s village board must approve the consolidation of the Civic Center Authority into the village for the transfer to take effect but that is not expected to be a problem.
Village President Cathy Adduci wrote in a statement to Wednesday Journal that the village board will consider the consolidation at a meeting in September.
