ELLIOTT — The driver of a car struck by a school bus at a rural intersection south of Elliott in Ford County on Saturday morning has died.
Ford County Coroner Brandon Roderick identified the deceased as Tanya M. Collier, 38, of Romeoville.
The Hoopeston Area school district bus was transporting 20 students on the Hoopeston Area Middle School softball team when the crash happened around 8:38 a.m. on Illinois 9 at the intersection with Ford County Road 1000 East, just south of Elliott, according to a news release from Illinois State Police…
