(NewsNation) — A police officer in Bloomingdale, Illinois, has been placed on paid administrative leave after the department found indications he may have misused the city’s Flock license plate camera system.
The issue was discovered during an internal audit, according to Frank Giammarese, Bloomingdale’s director of public safety, who confirmed to NewsNation that the officer is under investigation for potentially using the camera system for a purpose not permitted by department policy.
