When Perdy arrived at Kane County Animal Control (KCAC) on July 18, 2026, no one knew if she would make it through the night.
The young Dalmatian had been brought to the Batavia Police Department as a stray. An after-hours call brought a KCAC warden to the scene, where they found Perdy barely able to lift her head, let alone stand or walk.
She weighed just 6.6 pounds.
