Cars lined the block around the Burbank Fire Department’s firehouse at 6530 W. 79th St. on the morning of Sunday, Sept. 13, as residents walked in for the department’s 47th annual pancake breakfast.
The doors opened at 7 a.m. A smiling crossing guard walked residents across the busy street to the firehouse.
Inside, people bought $5 tickets for the all-you-can-eat buffet. They filled plates with pancakes and sausage, poured orange juice and milk, and looked for open seats in a packed room…
