Windy, Warm, and Stormy Stretch Ahead

PEORIA (25News Now) – Get ready for a windy and warm start to the week across central Illinois! Strong winds Monday could kick up some dust, especially in open fields, leading to areas of reduced visibility with gusts up to 40 mph possible at times.

Monday night into Tuesday, storms could develop, but a strong cap in the atmosphere may keep them from getting too out of hand early on. Still, a few strong storms are possible, especially west of I-55 Monday night, with damaging winds being the main concern however all weather hazards are possible.

By Tuesday, the severe weather risk has shifted south and east, closer to the I-70 corridor with a chance for some stronger storms during the morning and afternoon, with hail and gusty winds being the biggest threats…
