Man charged with reckless homicide in 2025 Geneva crash that killed elderly couple

GENEVA, Ill. (WGN) — A 20-year-old man has been charged with reckless homicide in connection with a crash that killed an elderly couple in Geneva in September 2025.

Charles Rodgers, of St. Charles, has been charged with unlawful possession of a stolen vehicle, reckless homicide, aggravated reckless driving and speeding.

The crash happened at 1:40 p.m. on Sept. 5, 2025, at the intersection of Bricher Road and Fisher Drive in Geneva, according to the Geneva Police Department.
