Illinois trucker charged with Grand Theft after allegedly evading over $20k in tolls

BRYAN, Ill. — An Illinois man has been indicted on Grand Theft in the Williams County Court of Common Pleas following an investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).

A grand jury indicted Moath Musamih, 39, of Orland Park, Ill., on April 21 after he allegedly deprived the Ohio Turnpike of $21,991 in tolls over a two-year period.

While working in partnership with the Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission (OTIC) to deter toll evasion, Musamih was determined to have been using the Ohio Turnpike while evading tolls from April 2024 to April 2026…
