$10,000 reward offered in murder of Uber driver, passenger in East Garfield Park

An Uber driver and his passenger were ambushed and killed in East Garfield Park on Thursday night, and now Cook County Crime Stoppers is offering up to $10,000 for information that leads investigators to the shooter.

Jassen Cho, 38, and his passenger, 18-year-old Damarion Johnson, were riding in Cho’s white Honda Civic in the 200 block of North Homan Avenue when a gray Chevrolet SUV pulled alongside them and someone in the back seat opened fire, according to Chicago police.

Video showed the gunman firing from the rear seat of the SUV, which may have displayed Michigan license plates. The shooter was described only as a Black male wearing a gray sweater…
