Three people were hurt in two unrelated shootings in Aurora on Friday morning and afternoon.
Two people were injured in an exchange of gunfire between people in two vehicles in a parking lot in the 2000 block of W. Downer Place at about 9:30 a.m. The two victims were treated at area hospitals. Several nearby schools and a child care facility were placed on lockdown as a result.
At about 3:45 p.m., police were called to the 1100 block of Bonner Avenue for a reported shooting in which a 45-year-old man suffered a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. Police believe he was shot in the surrounding neighborhood and went to a nearby house for help, where officers found him…
