Chicago man brokered five gun deals while on electronic monitoring for a gun case, feds say

A Chicago man on electronic monitoring for a pending Cook County gun case is now charged with selling five guns to undercover federal informants while he was wearing his ankle monitor.

Donald Dailey, 32, is charged with possessing a firearm while under indictment for a felony. He was arrested on May 14 shortly after completing his fifth sale to an undercover informant in the 7300 block of South Maryland Avenue, according to a federal complaint filed by an agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

The alleged sales began on February 5, when Dailey sold a Beretta 9mm pistol with an obliterated serial number to one of the informants, according to the complaint. On March 27, he sold a Heckler and Koch .40 caliber pistol to that same informant and a second one, the ATF agent said…
