OAK BROOK, Ill. (WGN) — Police in Chicago’s western suburb responded to a massive gathering at the Oakbrook Center this past weekend, resulting in a citation issued in connection with the incident.
According to Oak Brook police, the group gathering coincided with the release of a new product from Swatch, a watch store, on Saturday, May 16. Despite warnings from mall security, police said the crowd knocked over barricades and failed to follow directions on the way to the store.
Authorities on site then called Oak Brook police to intervene as the crowd size continued to grow…
