New Naples Italian restaurant transforms former Pelican Larry’s space

It’s been a month since Adoré Bar & Cucina quietly opened in the restaurant space Pelican Larry’s occupied for nearly 20 years on Davis Boulevard, and it’s safe to say the restaurant has undergone one of the area’s most dramatic transformations.

The neighborhood sports bar that occupied the location for nearly two decades is gone. In its place is a stylish Italian eatery, complete with dazzling chandeliers, a sleek white bar, and art deco-inspired ceiling tiles. Adoré evokes the upscale atmosphere of Fifth Avenue South while still feeling at home in the neighborhood.

Curious to see how the restaurant’s happy hour stacked up, I stopped by to sample a few of its discounted food and drink options. Available daily from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. for guests seated at the bar, the happy hour menu offers an approachable way to experience the Hoxha family’s newest concept, which joined GG Brunch Haus in the same plaza.
