Hilton brings expansion plans to Rotary; FC Naples searches for new lead

Marco Island’s Sunrise Rotary continued its “Wake Up” speaker series with a presentation by James Garcia, general manager of the Marco Island Hilton. Garcia and the Hilton’s land use attorney explained Hilton’s current plans for expansion; and spoke a bit about its history.

The property was purchased by Mort Olshan as an anniversary gift for his wife, according to the Rotary release. The hotel was built in 1985 and has 310 rooms. The family now seeks to add a second tower and a parking garage. The expansion would add 300 rooms and expand meeting space from 12,000 square feet to approximately 45,000 square feet…
