The Bayshore Boardwalk, a lighted paved pathway and boardwalk through wetlands and uplands connecting Bayshore Drive and Sugden Regional Park in East Naples, opened in February after two decades of discussion.
The around $3 million project, which was spearheaded by the Bayshore Gateway Triangle Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Advisory Board, came in just under budget, not including the land, which was purchased for over several million dollars years ago.
