A 41-year-old man reported missing out of Collier County has been found safe, according to an update posted Sunday night. Kenneth Robinson had last been seen driving a blue Ford Fusion near Florida City, a Miami-Dade County community roughly 80 to 100 miles from Collier County on the far side of the Everglades, before deputies announced he had been located.
The Collier County Sheriff’s Office shared the news in a brief social media update Sunday evening, simply stating that Robinson had been located after family members had voiced concern for his safety. Robinson had been described as 6 feet tall and 220 pounds, last seen wearing a white shirt, brown shorts and a white baseball cap. The sheriff’s office did not release further detail on the circumstances of how or where he was found, consistent with the agency’s typical practice of withholding personal specifics in missing person cases out of privacy considerations.
