When will The Turtle Club reopen 19 months after Hurricane Ian devastated restaurant?

Think of it as welcoming back a cherished friend from a long but not-so-fun journey.

Following a 19-month closure after Hurricane Ian decimated one of Naples’ most iconic restaurants, The Turtle Club re-opens to guests Monday, May 6.

It looks spectacular inside and out. Consider it more of a refresh than a redo; the inside appears brighter, melding the beachy outside with the airy interior for a seamless experience.

The vibe: Joyful, akin to visiting a good friend at home ― if that home was featured in Elle Decor and on a pristine sun-dappled beach.

A recipe for success

Moore and Tierney’s philosophy since 1998: Great cuisine in a spectacular environment served by friendly and hospitable people.

“It sounds simple but sometimes it’s not so simple to do, and I think it’s getting rarer to find that combination anywhere. We’re dedicated to doing that every single day,” Moore said.

‘Crossing the finish line’

Following a private event last week hosting the families’ friends who “have been on this journey in one way or another,” Peter Tierney said, “It made us so happy to be back in that environment that we created so long ago. It was a surreal moment reliving a lot of the old memories.”
