NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — An 18-year-old was charged with vehicular homicide by intoxication after a fatal multi-vehicle crash Monday night on I-24 West.
Zachary Abbott, 18, is charged with vehicular homicide and ten counts of reckless endangerment after a multi-vehicle crash near Old Hickory Boulevard claimed the life of his front seat passenger, Talon Sewell, 18.
An investigation indicates that Abbott was driving westbound on I-24 when he changed lanes to pass traffic but was not able to. He drove onto the right shoulder and collided with an abandoned flatbed tow truck.
