NASHVILLE Tenn. (WKRN) — Crews with the Tennessee Department of Transportation are on the scene investigating after a truck struck a bridge over Interstate 40 in downtown Nashville.
According to TDOT, a truck carrying an oversized load struck the overpass bridge at Broadway downtown, with a second oversized load behind it.
A TDOT spokesperson said both trucks must be backed up I-40 to get to I-65 in order to go around downtown Nashville.
I-40 eastbound at MM 209 was initially reduced to one lane, then all lanes were blocked off as TDOT’s bridge inspection team arrived on the scene…
