Davidson County property owners net $54 million in assessment reductions after appeals

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Thousands of Davidson County property owners challenged their property assessments this year, and nearly half saw their assessed values reduced after appealing.

New data from the Davidson County Assessor of Property’s Office shows 2,901 informal appeals were filed this year. Of those, 1,422 resulted in a change to the property’s assessed value, while 1,479 remained unchanged.
