Woman rescues dog from hot car, owner not charged

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A woman who rescued a dog from a hot car says the owner has not been charged after leaving the animal unattended for more than two hours.

Whitney Wilder said she was working and stepped outside to take a call on White Bridge Road on Monday afternoon when she noticed a dog in a car with just the windows cracked.

“I saw a dog panting. A black lab panting in an old vehicle and I could immediately tell the vehicle was not on,” Wilder said…
