Closed bedroom door helps save pets during Williamson County house fire

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A house fire in Williamson County was contained to a single room Wednesday morning, and firefighters say a closed bedroom door likely helped save the lives of two dogs and a snake inside the home.

Williamson County Fire/Rescue crews were dispatched to a home on Harpeth Hills Drive at about 9:52 a.m. after a neighbor called 911 to report smoke coming from the residence.

When firefighters arrived, they found smoke coming from a side window and the roof. Crews quickly entered the home and extinguished the fire before it could spread beyond the room where it started…
