NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The mother of the Antioch High School shooter is expected to stand trial Wednesday morning on a gun charge connected to the firearm used in the deadly 2025 school shooting.
According to Davidson County Criminal Court records, Chrystal Thomas, 40, is scheduled to appear before Judge Rachel Bell at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Criminal Court at the Birch Building. Thomas is charged with unlawful possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) officials announced the charge in January following a months-long investigation into the Jan. 22, 2025, shooting at Antioch High School.

Investigators said laboratory analysis of the 9 mm semi-automatic pistol used in the attack identified Thomas’ DNA on the weapon.
