SMYRNA, TN – Fireworks may be a seasonal favorite around New Year’s Eve and the Fourth of July, but Smyrna Police say another activity showed up near the holiday rush as well: shoplifting.
Authorities are asking for the public’s help identifying three people pictured in surveillance images connected to two separate theft reports at a fireworks tent in Smyrna, according to police. The tent was set up in the parking lot of a Kroger store, where customers were stopping by ahead of Independence Day celebrations.
According to information released about the cases, one theft was reported on June 25, while a second incident was reported on June 28. Both happened during the busy days leading up to the Fourth of July, when fireworks sales often increase across Middle Tennessee…
