NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Another round of strong thunderstorms will move through Saturday afternoon.
The Storm Prediction Center has most of our area under a level 2 out of 5 risk for damaging thunderstorms.
The main severe threat is for damaging wind gusts, but there is a non-zero chance for hail and a brief tornado.
Showers and storms will be possible for most of the day, but the strongest thunderstorms will move from west to east from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday afternoon/evening.
Showers and storms are still in the forecast on Sunday and Monday, but they are not expected to be severe. The additional rainfall could lead to more flooding. The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch that is in effect until Sunday evening.
