A Sumner County grand jury has handed down a series of indictments in what authorities say was a multi-state vehicle theft ring.
Terrance Darnell Mitchell, 19, was indicted in January 2026 on one charge of conspiracy to commit theft between $60,000 and $250,000, one count of theft between $60,000 and $250,000 and one count of theft between $10,000 and $60,000.
The grand jury also previously indicted Jonathan Wayne Pylant, 44, of Hendersonville, in March 2026 on one charge of conspiracy to commit theft between $60,000 and $250,000 and one count of theft between $60,000 and $250,000. In addition, William Kapion McGilmer, 21, of Hendersonville, Shawn Maurice Murray Jr., 26, of Nashville, and Aryona Ly’Shai Ward, 23, of Nashville, were each indicted in December 2025.
