2 Hendersonville clerks cited after underage alcohol sales in compliance sweep

HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — Police say two local clerks were cited after selling alcohol to an underage person during a sweep of Hendersonville businesses.

On Aug. 20, Hendersonville police checked 25 businesses and found that 23 followed the law, but two did not.

Clerks at New Shackle Island Market on New Shackle Island Road and Speedway on East Main Street sold alcohol to an underage person, so police gave them misdemeanor citations…
