Portland man linked to alleged drug sales at restaurants

An investigation by the 18th Judicial District Drug Task Force led to the recent arrest of a Portland man said to be linked to drug sales in Sumner County.

According to court records, investigators began looking into allegations of drugs being sold in the parking lots of multiple bar-and-grill restaurants in Hendersonville after receiving tips from the public. Surveillance footage reportedly identified Maurice Orlando Box Jr., 32, of Portland, meeting with multiple individuals and exchanging items in what appeared to be drug transactions.
