A string of officer-involved shootings across Middle Tennessee is raising questions about why several encounters between law enforcement and suspects have escalated to gunfire in a matter of days.
The latest happened Thursday on Dickerson Pike in Nashville, where Metro Police said a suspect opened fire on officers investigating a stolen vehicle. Two officers returned fire, but no one was struck.
