NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV/WVLT) – Christa Gail Pike is still alive after being administered a lethal injection, according to Luke Ihnen, an assistant federal defender on her defense team.
Ihnen confirmed Pike had received two syringes of a lethal drug, Ihnen said, adding the team is filing a motion to stay the execution. It marks the latest in a back-and-forth over the “Jobs Corps Murder” convict’s execution.
