NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — The Wabash Cannonball, the Screamin’ Delta Demon, the Old Mill Scream — say these words to anyone who grew up in Nashville in the 1970s and 1980s, and they know you’re talking about Opryland USA.
Growing up in Middle Tennessee, the rides at Opryland USA were a core childhood moment.
Michael Parham worked at Opryland and recalled, “the Rockin’ Roller Coaster. The lift. The click, click, click. I can still hear that. And the Wabash Cannonball, it had a more hollow sound.”
