Man wanted on 19 warrants arrested after falling through attic into neighbor’s home

MARSHAL COUNTY, Tenn. (WZTV) — A man wanted on 19 outstanding warrants was arrested after falling through an attic into a neighbor’s living room.

Darrius Cane, 36, racked up charges after fleeing from a traffic stop and striking a patrol officer on March 14, and in an attempt to escape Metropolitan Nashville Police Department officers though an attic before falling through the ceiling and landing in a neighbor’s living room.

At the traffic stop, Cane already had five felony warrants out of Marshall County, and was stopped by officers because his Dodge Charger had no tag lights or a temporary tag. He did not have a driver’s license or a vehicle registration. He then gave a false date of birth and social security number to the officers before correctly identifying him. Cane sped off, injuring one of the officers, after he was asked to step out of the vehicle…
