Rutherford Co. invites frustrated Nashville businesses south as property tax concerns grow

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — After rising property taxes sparked concern among some Nashville business owners, a neighboring Middle Tennessee county is encouraging frustrated businesses to look elsewhere.

Rutherford County Property Assessor Rob Mitchell recently issued an open invitation to Nashville businesses, promoting the county’s Historic Property Tax Abatement Program as a way to offset rising costs while preserving historic buildings.
