NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WZTV) — A new Tennessee law now allows local law enforcement to cite driverless cars, such as Waymo.
Waymo has been in Nashville for a little over a month, and the driverless cars have been caught on camera having issues on the roadways. FOX 17 News also found dozens of complaints for Waymo cars ranging from traffic hazards to near crashes.
The legislation passed with bi-partisan support and Governor Bill Lee signed it into law on April 13, 2026.
How will it work?
