A new law signed by Gov. Jeff Landry will replace the state’s traditional brake tag system with a QR code-based registration sticker beginning in 2027. The law also bars law enforcement from ticketing drivers for inspection sticker violations starting June 30.
However, Louisiana State Police says it stopped issuing those citations immediately after the bill was signed into law on June 2. It remains unclear whether other law enforcement agencies will do the same before the June 30 deadline…
