NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — A newly formed task force is charged with conducting a pilot program to explore the best methods for bringing adjudicated properties out of legal and bureaucratic limbo, and back into commerce.
“We’re going to work with our partners to be really strategic, work through all the thorny paperwork and legal issues that are required in order to get these properties back into commerce,” said Jeff Schwartz, director of housing, community development and special projects. “Then, once we prove what works, and what doesn’t, then we’re going to start scaling that.”
