Jefferson Parish jurors deliberated for almost three hours before voting to convict a New Orleans man accused of taking part in an armed robbery-turned-homicide that claimed the life of a 21-year-old father of one, court records said.
Lavanta Carto, 28, was found guilty Thursday night of second-degree murder, two counts of obstruction of justice and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the death of Andrew Davis IV, of Slidell.
