The city of New Orleans is broke. Not only financially, but physically as well. I welcome the new mayor and her energy. She is a breath of fresh air after having suffered through several incompetent administrations.
The streets are shattered, the water system leaks, sewerage and drainage are malfunctioning, the police are understaffed … the list goes on.
There is now talk of raising taxes and fees to cover expenses. Why not economize first?…
