From Celebrity Speakers to Culinary Demonstrations and Business Workshops, the 2026 Essence Festival Offers Hundreds of Free Daytime Experiences in New Orleans
The ESSENCE Festival of Culture Presented by Coca-Cola has announced its complete 2026 daytime programming lineup, bringing together entertainers, entrepreneurs, filmmakers, chefs, authors and wellness leaders for three days of free experiences celebrating Black culture, creativity and innovation.
The daytime festival will take place July 3-5 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center, in Louisiana, where attendees can explore hundreds of conversations, demonstrations, performances and networking opportunities before the evening concert series begins each night.
The Daytime Experience
More than entertainment, the daytime experience serves as a gathering place for community, education and inspiration while spotlighting the voices shaping Black culture today. Festival organizers noted that the 2025 event generated an estimated $321 million in economic impact for New Orleans, with more than 70% of attendees traveling from outside Louisiana.
Hosted by actress Tisha Campbell and entertainment personality Loren Lorosa, the ESSENCE Main Stage returns as the centerpiece of the daytime experience. This year’s celebrity lineup includes Keke Palmer, Octavia Spencer, Normani, La La Anthony, Eva Marcille, Sanaa Lathan, Ryan Destiny, Mario, Coi Leray, Destin Conrad and other artists, creators and cultural leaders participating in live interviews and conversations…
