NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office has identified the victim in the Milan area fatal shooting.
On Sunday, June 28, the New Orleans Police Department was called to the scene of a shooting in the 2200 block of Louisiana Avenue.

An investigation revealed about 20 people were at a party in the home when gunfire was heard near the front side alley. Those inside reportedly ran to the back of the home when more shots were heard.
The suspect reportedly got away but the victim, 20-year-old Shawn Mitchell, was taken to a hospital by NOLA EMS for treatment but later died from his wounds…
