NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – New Orleans city employees need higher wages and help paying for housing to keep pace with the city’s rising cost of living, according to recommendations presented Monday (July 27) to a City Council committee.
Tulane University public policy students recommended increasing the city employee minimum wage by nearly $3 an hour and creating a housing allowance.
