KENNER, La. (WGNO) — A group of boaters are safe after a boat fire in Kenner on Thursday, July 30.
Around 8:30 p.m., the Kenner 911 Communication Center was alerted of a stranded recreational boat with children on board, about one mile form the boat launch.
All suspects in attempted ATM theft in Lockport arrested
Kenner Fire Department officials responded to the scene and deployed it’s boat in an effort to locate and help the individuals.
Fire officials said during the search, the boaters were able to get the vessel back to the launch but as they reached the area, the boat’s motor caught fire. Everyone on board safely made it back to shore before the fire was put out…
