NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Three New Orleans Fire Department companies went out of service for about half of Saturday because there were not enough qualified firefighters available to operate them, according to the city’s firefighters union.
“They did close multiple companies on Saturday due to not having enough qualified members to operate the units that were available,” said Aaron Mischler, president of the New Orleans Firefighters Association.
